Iceball and tailgating

Who tailgates, dances to music and plays baseball outside in January?  Fun loving Minnesotans, that’s who.  Check out the photos to see what you missed at the St. Paul Saints Crispin Iceball game.  Even with the snow and a temperature just below 20 degrees, it was a great day to be outdoors in St. Paul.  The sun was shining and everyone was ready for a baseball season jump start.  Not only was it fun, the event supported a worthy cause.  Donations and proceeds from the event went to Second Harvest Heartland.

Wine Tasting Event

The Emerging Leaders volunteer group of the Greater Twin Cities United Way held a fun wine tasting event the other week.  With guests clad in fun hats and feather boas while tasting French wines, watching the entertainment and socializing, it made for a fun collection of photos.

Coffee or wine?

A little while back, I visited my favorite coffee shop with a friend to do a piece about it for Heavytable.com.  The story and photos can be viewed here.

It is refreshing to have a unique place that stands out amongst all of the chain stores in the area.  Chains are nice for their uniformity, but that uniformity makes them a little dull.
